The King of Ick Ack Ock

I'm good at Ick Ack Ock, or Scissors, Paper, Rock as some call it. To the point where, when my wife and I are deciding who will get up and grab the Cornettos out of the freezer, she refuses to play it. She gets cranky at the thought.

The other day, my daughter and I played, and she couldn't believe I kept beating her time after time. Not sure why I'm good at it — I have my ideas, but they're only ideas. Liz beats me at all other games, but not that one. Smug bastard I am.

I have a new sticker and T-shirt shop on Redbubble called Bird Vs Bird. I've been doing drawing with Grace since early this year and have kept all my bird pictures. I scanned them, then picked only the best ones for the shop. Grace even had a hand in a couple.

The Cycle: Go Hard, Then Wait

I get into these patches where I'll do a heap of work, then after about three days, I burn out and don't enjoy anything and can't do any work for a day or two. I just have to be bored and wait for a resupply of good chemicals.

Does this happen to you? Do you get immersed, go hard, then fizzle? Or are you a slow burn, constantly simmering away?

TV Is My Kryptonite

I had two to three weeks off any telly so I could get more done and read more. I was loving it and thought it was the new norm. But then I put BritBox on for Mum, and I can't resist a good murder mystery — so I've been binging British crime shows. Still getting my work done, mind you.

Back on the Meds

I'm back on the Sertraline — my anti-depressant. I lasted a couple of weeks. I can't remember now what happened to make me realise I was better off on it, but I'm back on it. 100mg, I think.

This Chicken Situation Is a Crime

I'm sick of places that sell chicken that make it seem like it’s a real piece of chicken you’re buying, only to find out it’s processed crap. Sick of fucking processed chicken. I've had enough.

I'm calling my government representative in Canberra. Something needs to be done about honest chicken labelling.
